What is Creative Partnerships?

Creative Partnerships is the Government's flagship creative learning programme, designed to develop the skills of young people across England, raising their aspirations and achievements, and opening up more opportunities for their futures. This world-leading programme is transforming teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Who are we…?

Dare to be Creative is the programme for Creative Partnerships in Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham (BDR) run by Sero Creative, specialists in building innovative relationships between education and the creative and cultural industries.

Creative Partnerships is one of the biggest initiatives ever undertaken in the educational, creative and cultural fields – it is Government funded and is dedicated to developing and promoting creativity in education. Professional and school development is at the heart of it.

There are three strands of engagement:

Schools of Creativity

The Schools of Creativity will develop innovative programmes with other schools and play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of Creative Partnerships. Selected schools will build on the success of the pilot phase.

Enquiry Schools

A one-year creative learning programme targeted at a specific group of pupils and teachers. 30 schools in Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham are currently engaging in the pilot programme.

Change Schools

The Change Schools programme enables schools to engage in an intensive three-year programme with the creative development of the whole school.

There are currently 18 Change Schools newly recruited across Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham.
